In June we went to the beach with Jake and Samantha Madsen. We decided to go to Belmar because it's only an hour away and we'd never been there before. We had such a great time! We are so spoiled being only an hour to an hour and a half from the shore. We haven't gone "down the shore" as much as we've wanted to this summer, but we've enjoyed our time that we've been able to spend there and that's what matters. Also, "down the shore" is what the people here call "going to the beach."

We had a nice little set-up.
We were in the middle of our first round of the 21 Day Fix, so I ate a salad for lunch. Eating salad on the beach feels wrong in so many different levels!
It was fun watching the Madsen's daughter, Emma, at the beach. She loved it! She's adorable.
We have really enjoyed getting to know the Madsen family. I'm grateful that Chris has good guys like this that he interacts with at school!
And here are my handsome boys on the boardwalk! Belmar was a nice, but expensive beach. I think this will be our go to beach from now on because it's so much closer!
