Chris got us tickets to see a pre-season Phillies game at the beginning of the summer. We were super excited! Phillies games are super inexpensive (most of the time) and it's such a fun family activity.
We showed up early so that we could watch them practice and walk around. While watching them practice we ended up getting a ball! It flew up so hard and it grazed Chris's hand and Matthew's side and ending up pounding this lady on her knee. It bounced off practically into my lap. I offered it to the injured woman (it seemed only right) but she said to give it to the boys. They were SO excited!
After we watched batting practice for a bit we headed over to the kids play area. It's pretty big and the boys enjoy climbing through the tunnels. It was nice to sit and relax with Chris for a bit.
We got food and headed to our seat after they played for a little while.
The Phillies were playing the Pittsburgh Pirates, which was pretty cool! My Grandpa Paul used to pitch for the minor league Pittsburgh Pirates team, I believe. Anyway, we had a great time.
We ended up leaving early to beat the traffic. It was a long game and we didn't want to be out too late. The boys were happy because I saved a Phillies ring pop for them.
We had Matthew take a picture of us. He did a pretty good job!
And then Aaron had to have a turn.
