We were super disappointed with our first East coast winter. I expected cold, wind, and snow. I didn't expect the dreariness of it all, the deadness, or the lack of snow and moisture. In Flagstaff we were surrounded by pines and evergreens, so there was always green - even in the dead of winter. Here things just got ugly. They were dead and depressing and brown. And we hardly ever got snow to pretty it up! My kids were always so disappointed because of the lack of snow. These pictures are from what was probably our biggest snowfall of the season. Crazy, right?!
