Chris is a member of the Haiti Club at Temple Dental. It's a club that goes to Haiti every year to provide free dental care to rural areas in Haiti. He is hoping to go to Haiti over Spring Break of next year and has been trying to be as involved with the club as possible.
One of their biggest fundraisers of the year is ice skating. The rink (owned by the dentists who sponsor the Haiti trip every year) is donated to them and they get 100% of the profits of ticket sales. So for $20 the four of us were able to go ice skating and it was so much fun! It was the first time either of our kids had been ice skating and they absolutely loved it. It took them both a bit to warm up, but they had a blast after they got used to being on the ice.
Thankfully they had a few of these little walkers that the kids could use. After a while they got comfortable enough to go out on the ice without our help. It was fun watching them learn!
We made a lot of fun, lasting memories that night. I love ice skating. It's so much fun!
