Day 6 pt.2: Atlanta

We weren't sure what our plans were when we got into Atlanta. It was either the Georgia Aquarium or the World of Coca Cola. The aquarium was $35 for adults and $29 for kids (Aaron was free), so we were leaning more towards the Coke Factory. The kids really wanted to go to the aquarium, though, so we caved. And I'm glad we did! It was great. The first thing we saw when we got there was the whale shark. The Georgia Aquarium is the only aquarium in the US that has a whale shark. It was SO big!!

There were divers in the whale shark tank and when Aaron saw them he got so excited!!! He was running around saying "HI!!! How are you today?! HI! How are you today?!" to every diver he saw. He was so happy to see them!

The divers were nice and would wave and blow kisses to the kids looking in.

Aaron loved looking for Nemo and Dory fishes in all the tanks. His excitement was awesome. Absolutely awesome. I was worried that he would be kind of difficult because that's the age he's at right now, but he was terrific. They both really enjoyed themselves.

The only other aquarium that compares with this one is the New England Aquarium in Boston. I think it's bigger and has more there, but the Georgia Aquarium came close! There were lots of things for the kids to touch and do there.

When we finished we realized that we were running late for our dinner date and definitely didn't have the energy to walk back to the Marta station. So we took a cab! My very first cab ride. Don't the boys look cute?!

We ride the LOOOONG escalator to get back on Marta.

And we headed back on Marta to get to our car!

Once we got to our car we headed to the Smith's house in Roswell for dinner. It was so good to see them again! This family has a special place in Chris's heart and we've been able to see them often over the past 5 years. I sure wish we lived in the same town!

We all headed to Zaxby's for dinner and then spent some time hanging out at their place. The boys played and we chatted and it was so nice. We love them so much!
