The end of Chris's second year of dental school was an incredibly relieving milestone in Chris's dental education. His second year was very hard on him but he made it through! We celebrated with a much needed and deserved date night at Longhorn Steakhouse. Chris tells himself he will get a steak dinner each time he gets an A on an exam... but realistically he waits until after the semester and if it was a good one, we go out.
We had an amazing experience that spawned from a pretty bad experience. Our food took 45 minutes to cook and then came out overcooked. We didn't complain, but our server noticed that we weren't eating much. She asked and we let her know. She said that they would cook us another one, but we told her that we didn't have that much more time to wait. She said she'd box it up for us and we pretty much ate our dessert for dinner. Which brings me to the a very good point: the chocolate stampede is so delicious!! It was the first time we tried it and it's probably the best chocolate dessert I've ever had at a restaurant.
Anyway... back to the restaurant. The manager came out and apologized for the long wait and mistake. He then offered to cover our entire bill that evening. I couldn't believe it! We were totally shocked and super grateful. This will definitely be an unforgettable date night!
