Philly with the Duford's according to Grandma's iPhone

My mom sent me pictures that she took over the weekend after I had already had most of my blogs written, so here they are - all compiled into one.

The boys colored pictures for Grandma and Grandpa when they got here.

Aaron's is a picture of them and says "We missed you! Love, Aaron" (That's what he told me to write)

And Matthew's says "You're a special Grandma and Grandpa and I love you soooo much. Thank you for all the fun at your house. I love you Grandma and Papa!" He also wrote his name, except he writes the "m" first, then the "a" to the right and the two "t's" to the left. We need to work on left-to-right.

Matthew was super excited because Grandma sat in the very back seat with him all weekend long!

Matthew and Aaron made special birthday cards for Daddy.

This is their little table where they eat most of their meals. The Peter Pan calendar was our countdown for how many days until they arrived.

My parents took Matthew to his soccer practice when they were here. He was SO happy to have them watch him play!!

Aaron got a little distracted and wanted to play on the playground instead of watching Matthew.

Then he got REALLY upset when he couldn't go play soccer with Matthew. We should have put Matthew in the older kids' league and signed Aaron up for this one, but we just didn't think about it.

So he played some more while Matthew finished practice. The YMCA has a really great playground that is open all day on Saturday!

Aaron spent a lot of time on our balcony. He loves to color with chalk!

Here are some pictures from our visit to the city.

Another major highlight for Matthew was being able to wake up early and lay in bed with Grandma. He watched her iPad and "just talked" with her in the mornings.

While my parents were here we got the BEST BOX from Chris's mom! Michelle stuffed that box so full of goodies, clothes, toys, and gifts. We loved it. The boys enjoyed the clothes and they were very needed. She is so wonderful!

It was so nice having my parents here. Our apartment is small and I'm sure it was difficult for them to sleep here and put up with all the stress that comes with me and with the kids, but we were happy to have them here. We really missed them that week after they left. It was hard on us all, but we will see them soon in December!
