After we got all of our apples (which were only $0.99/lb!) we went over to the blackberry bushes to search for blackberries. There weren't that many that were ripe yet. Who knew that blackberries were bright red until they ripen?! It was pretty fun searching for the ripe ones.
It was so beautiful and green there. Behind the farm was a new development of houses. That was really nice to see - some new construction! Everything here was built 50-100 years ago. Sure, it's been updated, but the outside and the general construction of it all just looks old. Beautiful, but old. It was nice to see something a bit more modern. Made me feel at home.
As of today, it feels like fall. It's not cold, but it's brisk. I am loving it. We had all four seasons in Flagstaff, but what I'm noticing here is that they are cut and dry. Summer is gone and Fall is here, just like that! It doesn't linger and switch back and forth like it did in Flagstaff. I love it!
Our wagon ride back was just as fun as the ride there.
When we arrived, we went inside to pay for our fruit and pick up some other things. By this point the kids were not listening at all, so we hurried in the market section. Afterwards we let them look at the fish in the pond and slide down the jump house slide. I would say it made for a pretty successful Saturday morning/afternoon family time!
