We had fun with my mom when she came to visit! She flew in around 4 or 5pm, which meant that we had at least an hour of traffic ahead of us. So instead of waiting in traffic, we ate dinner at the Ruby Tuesday near the airport. It was nice to sit and eat instead of sit in the car in the middle of traffic!
Since it was Easter weekend, we had or ward Easter party while my mom was here. I was in charge of planning this one and we had a low key pancake breakfast and egg hunt. Matthew's first soccer game was that day, so he came to the pancake breakfast and ate and then Chris, Matthew, and my mom went to the soccer game.
ALl the kids sat and listened to Bishop Ackerman talk about Easter. Then they got ready for the egg hunt!
Amidst the Easter activity and the soccer game, we were able to catch all the sessions of General Conference. It was really great! Matthew and Aaron love General Conference because they enjoy all the fun things we're able to do while we watch.
Matthew drew some pictures for the Easter Bunny the night before Easter.
The Easter Bunny definitely came to our house. He hid the eggs in silly places.
Easter was a fun day. We got to have an egg hunt at home and then we watched conference. It was nice not having to rush out to church that morning and it was really nice that my mom could be here with us.
