Our friend Dan (formerly Elder) Kitsell came to visit us in April. He arrived really late on a Friday and I picked him up in Trenton. His flight from NY to Philly was cancelled, so we had him take the train to Trenton and I picked him up there. The next morning he went to Matthew's soccer game with us. My boys were so excited to see him!
Saturday evening he went to the birthday party of a girl in our ward, Thayna, and I was there as the photographer.
Then he left town for a couple of days with a friend and visited other areas of his mission. He came back later in the week and came to playgroup with us. He was pretty patient with all the kids and the attention they wanted from him.
The weather was finally getting nice!
We spent a couple lazy days at home in the morning...
And we had a nice family dinner outside one night...
My friend Grisel dropped off flowers when she picked up her daughter from my house (Giselle, her daughter, is the girl that Dan took with him when he visited his other mission areas).
We were even able to find a sitter and the three of us were able to go to dinner together!
One day Chris had time off school and we toured the Masonic temple in Philly. I'll post about that separately because there are a lot of pictures.
Matthew and Aaron kept asking him to draw them superheroes, so this is what he came up with. Matthew wanted his to be "Red Skull" so naturally Aaron had to have his be "Blue Skull."
Dan was in and out for about a week and it was sad to see him go! He lives in England so we don't get to talk much, but every now and again we are able to chat.
